I just received the DVD/TV from Fed-X a couple of hours ago; unpacked it, plugged it in and shoved in a DVD after a couple of on screen questions. It worked perfectly without anything else to do on my part.
The combo unit will be used as a guitar and keyboard learning tool in my music
room and will probably never be used as a receiver, so I have no comments on this
aspect of the unit, but don’t see why it would not work, as it did start trying to pick up channels, but once I switched to channel 3 (my DVD channel) it stopped.
The sound quality and volume are just fine for me, as stated above, the unit is used as a learning tool, and I am sitting close to it anyway. If I need better audio, I can always plug in my powered monitor speakers.
I have always trusted Toshiba products, and in most cases they have come through with flying colors for me.
